“Economics Classes for Future Dreamers” is a corporate social responsibility program by Hyundai Motor Securities, carried out under its vision of “Sustainability Through Togetherness” (▲ Growing together with future generations ▲ Thinking together with the socially vulnerable ▲ Thriving together with local communities). Focused on three key areas—future generations, protection, and local communities—the program leverages the characteristics and strengths of the financial industry to provide young people with opportunities for both financial and cultural experiences. Launched last year with about 40 children from childcare facilities in Seoul, the program expanded in its second year to include 57 children from three childcare facilities in Seoul and Hwaseong.

On this day, the “Economics Classes for Future Dreamers” program was conducted in three sessions centered on the themes “Understanding Distribution,” “Trade,” and “Creating My Own Corporation.” In the first session, students explored distribution processes using mackerel and mango as practical examples. Through a tanghulu-making activity, they experienced firsthand the differences between direct transactions with farms and market-based trading. The second session introduced fundamental concepts of international trade, allowing students to broaden their understanding through interactive quizzes and trade-related games focused on import and export practices. In the final session, students designed and presented their own mock companies. They took part in simulated investment activities while learning about the differences between employment and entrepreneurship, as well as the advantages of starting a business.

Hyundai Motor Securities’ “Economics Classes for Future Dreamers” is designed to make economics—often perceived as difficult for children—easier to understand through everyday, hands-on experiences. The program not only enhances financial literacy and critical thinking but also broadens career awareness and imagination. At the same time, it fosters teamwork and problem-solving skills, laying a strong foundation for the growth of future generations.

The day also highlighted the dedication of Hyundai Motor Securities employees. Working in groups, they actively supported the children’s learning by participating in games, simplifying complex concepts, and offering warm encouragement. Their engagement helped the children take part with greater confidence and experience an even deeper joy of learning.

The “Economics Classes for Future Dreamers” program held special significance as it was funded through the “Heart-Sharing Account,” a fund created from employee donations and matched on a 1:1 basis by Hyundai Motor Securities. By combining financial contributions, volunteer service, and knowledge sharing, the program truly embodied the company’s vision of “Togetherness.” Looking ahead, Hyundai Motor Securities plans to continue supporting economic education for future generations in close partnership with its employees, while further strengthening its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
